How to configure Circles

An explanation of how to configure circles and invite others to join them

Setting up the Circle Workflow  

To turn the Circle workflow on, go to App Settings and select the Workflows tab. Scroll down to the Circle workflow and turn the toggle on, and save. You will now see this workflow appear under the  “Workflow Settings” area on the left navigation bar. Click here to configure the workflow. 

 

Configuring the Circle Workflow

Next, click on the General settings tab to change the default name of the Circle by configuring the Circle noun singular and Circle noun plural fields.

 

 

You will also be able to set the Home page zero state image by uploading an SVG image which will be displayed on the homepage when a user is not a member of any circle. The Button text for empty state on the home page sets the text to display on the ‘create circle’ button, when no circle exists. The Homepage empty state background colour can be configured as the background colour for the homepage empty state of the circle.

 


You can set the Circle home page carousel heading text under the Home page Carousel settings



Under the Circle home carousel widget background colour, click on select colour to set the colour that will be used as the background colour for the circle home page carousel widget. To set the colour that will be used as the heading text colour for the circle home page carousel widget, click on select colour under the Circle home carousel widget heading text colour.



Click on upload image under the Circle page zero state image and upload an SVG image that will be displayed on the circle page when the user is not a circle member. Add a text in the field under No circle heading text for circle page to display a heading that will appear on the circle if no one is present for humans. Add a message that should appear on the circle's page if no circle is present for humans in the field under No circle message text for the circle page.

 

To create a circle, add a hint text that will appear on create dialog for the description (the purpose of the circle) field under Create circle description hint text. Under the Create circle privacy message field, add a text that will appear on create dialog indicating that the circle is private by default and this can only be viewed or joined by an invitation from the circle owner or other members.



Under the join circle page settings, add the text that should appear as the heading under Join circle screen heading. You can set the text that appears on the join circle screen body under Join circle screen body.



Add the message that should appear when user provides an invalid code while joining the circle under the Join circle invalid code message. Under the Already a member message, add the message that will appear when a user is already a member of the circle and requests to join the circle.


To adjust the circle settings page and configuration, you can add a text to the field under Circle setting screen title to display the app bar title. Under the Circle sharing settings section text, you can set the text that would appear for editing the sharing settings. Under the Circle setting screen edit team info action text, you can set a text that would appear to edit the team information.



Under the Circle settings screen invite action text, add the action text that should be displayed to invite new members. Under the Circle settings screen leave team action text set the action text that should be displayed to leave the circle.


Under the Circle settings screen leave dialog message text, add the message that should be displayed when a member wants to leave a circle. Under the Circle settings screen delete team action text, set the action text that should be displayed to delete the circle. Under the Circle settings screen delete dialog message text, add the message that should be displayed when a member wants to delete a circle. 



Under the Circle sharing setting screen appbar title, add the text that should be displayed as the app bar title for the circle sharing screen. Add a text under the Circle sharing setting screen heading text to display a heading for the circle sharing screen. Remember to click on the Save button at the top right corner of the application.

 


Inviting end-users to a circle

Click on the Invite settings tab to adjust the circle invite settings. You can add a text to the Circle member screen title field. 



You have two invite methods to join a circle: Option 1 - invite by link and Option 2 - invitation by code. Under Option 1 - invite by link, you can add the text that should be displayed on the button for sharing the link under the Share link button text. Under the Invite to circle link copied message, add a message for the circle link copied action. Add a message under the Invite to circle link not configured message for invite links not configured for the app.



For Option 2 - Invite by code, add a text to display the heading under the Invite via code heading text. Add a text to describe the share code under the Share code description text.




Under the Privacy message, add a text that will be used as a heading text for the warning section on the invite new member page under the Warning heading. Add a description text for the warning section on the invite new member page under Warning Text.

 


Remember to click on the Save button at the top right corner of the application.
